Position Overview:
The in-house Video Editor will be a key part of the Museum of Illusions Marketing team, focused primarily on video editing and motion graphic design. The role will lead the transformation of video footage into compelling brand stories told across a variety of platforms (social, website, advertising, in-Museum), owning every aspect of the editing process. They will collaborate with the Marketing team and various stakeholders on a wide variety of projects and deliver high-quality content that adheres to brand guidelines while building brand momentum.
What you would get to do:
- Collaborate closely with designers, writers, content specialists, and other stakeholders to bring ideas to life through video editing, motion graphics, and animation
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members throughout all stages of a project to ensure alignment and timely delivery
- Review raw footage, select the best takes, and assemble content into a cohesive narrative for various platforms
- Deliver high-quality, brand-aligned video content through strong editing and storytelling techniques
- Apply sound effects, music, motion graphics, and transitions to enhance overall content quality
- Adapt and version content for different marketing channels, ensuring consistency across platforms
- Organize, log, and manage all raw footage and final video assets, maintaining proper structure and accessibility
What you should bring along:
- 3+ years of experience in video editing and motion design
- Technical proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects (for motion graphics, titles, etc.)
- Understanding of design principles and typographic design when working with technical information or motion graphics.
- Ability to work in tight timelines, on multiple projects simultaneously, while effectively prioritizing next steps and deliverables
- Active and ongoing understanding of trends in video editing technology, software, advertising and social media.
- A current portfolio showcasing motion and video work
