Position Overview:
We are searching for an experienced and driven Senior Category Manager to join our team and take ownership of managing and developing our retail category. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize product assortment, drive sales performance, and support the overall growth of the business.
What you would get to do:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the category, ensuring product availability, optimal assortment, and pricing.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and provide regular reporting on key category metrics (sales, margins, inventory levels).
- Support the development of category plans and action steps in line with market trends and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers on product selection, negotiations, and promotional activities.
- Work cross-functionally with teams such as supply chain, marketing, and finance to ensure smooth execution of category plans.
- Identify opportunities for category improvements and efficiency gains, contributing ideas for new products or assortment changes.
- Stay up to date with market developments, competitor activity, and customer behavior relevant to the category.
What you should bring along:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in category management, merchandising, or buying — ideally within retail or e-commerce.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data to drive decisions.
- Hands-on and operational mindset, with a structured and proactive approach to work.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, comfortable working with internal teams and external partners.
- A collaborative team player with good organizational skills and attention to detail.Entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving attitude.
