Position Overview:
As Senior Accountant Specialist you will work from the Zagreb office and take on the senior role within the accounting part of finance department. In this role you will be in charge of month end process for our international subsidiaries (museums).We are looking well rounded accountant, capable of adapting to different situations with positive approach to new challenges.
What you would get to do:
- Booking incoming invoices, bank statements, revenue reports, accruals, and payroll
- Review journal entries on a timely basis and in accordance with our accounting guidelines
- Review vendors, customers, and general ledger account entries
- Review FA depreciation
- Preform bank reconciliation
- Review vendor/customer balance
- Review intercompany transactions per company policy
- Monthly review and reconciliations of other balance sheet accounts, such as inventory, fixed assets, accruals
- Review the monthly and yearly closing process
- Contact local accounting teams to resolve issues and discuss monthly closing
- Ensure all business policies and processes are followed to comply with internal controls, segregation of duties
- Assist in implementing new tools to further automate our accounting processes
- Assist in reporting on compliance with Group Rules
- Assist in audit processes
- Any ad hoc project or process request
What you should bring along:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in accountancy-Tax or equivalent through experience
- You have 4 years of experience in a similar position
- You have a good understanding of legal regulations in accounting
- You are fluent in English
- You have knowledge of working in ERP type systems and MS Office (Excel experience is a must)
