Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team at the Museum of Illusions. This is a hands-on role with a strong analytical component, responsible for the smooth coordination of transport, stock movements, and logistics data analysis across multiple locations and suppliers worldwide.
You will play a key role in ensuring that all goods, from exhibits and promotional materials to retail products, are delivered on time, cost-efficiently, and in perfect condition. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys operational problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a natural talent for data-driven decision-making.
Together, we will design your to-do list, which will include tasks like:
- Organize and coordinate transportation of goods (imports, exports, deliveries, shipments) in collaboration with carriers, freight forwarders, and agents.
- Plan and monitor logistics flows from suppliers to final destinations, ensuring optimization of cost, lead time, and delivery quality.
- Prepare, review, and track transport documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and stock movements across warehouses and museum locations.
- Analyze and report on quantities, costs, deliveries, and other key performance indicators.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based analyses and reports to support the procurement and logistics departments.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Finance, and Operations teams to align logistics activities with overall business needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization in logistics and transportation.
What you should bring along:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain, or transport operations.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards).
- Experience in import/export documentation and working with freight forwarders or customs agents.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
