Position Overview:
The HR Generalist provides comprehensive day-to-day HR support across a range of HR functions. This role is primarily focused on operational execution, ensuring smooth HR processes, accurate documentation, and consistent support to employees and managers. A strong understanding of HR information systems (HRIS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools is essential for success in this position. Familiarity and hands-on experience with Workday will be considered a strong advantage. The HR Generalist will work closely with the HR team and line managers to implement policies, procedures, and programs in line with company standards.
What you would get to do:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Provide guidance to employees and supervisors on HR processes in line with company policies and labor law.
- Prepare employment contracts, amendments, and other HR documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including coordination of induction activities and exit procedures.
- Assist with day-to-day HR administration, including time and attendance, leave management, and HR reporting.
- Maintain and update the Workday HR information system (HRIS) to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide support to employees and managers in using Workday.
- Support payroll preparation by providing necessary employee data and documentation.
- Assist with benefits administration and liaise with external providers when needed.
- Ensure HR policies and practices are applied consistently across the organization.
- Stay up to date with employment legislation and assist in implementing necessary changes.
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in HR projects as assigned.
What you should bring along:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Approximately 5 years of experience in HR operations or generalist roles.
- Solid understanding of core HR functions including employee relations, payroll support and HR administration.
- Hands-on experience using HRIS is required (familiarity with Workday is considered as a big plus)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Fluency in English
