Position Overview:
We are looking for a Development Lead to join our team and play a key role in the development of museum exhibits, from initial prototype to final product. This role combines strong technical expertise with creativity, documentation excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.
What you would get to do:
- Lead and directly contribute to the technical development of museum exhibits from concept validation and prototyping through final production and installation.
- Take full ownership of technical execution, ensuring feasibility, quality standards, cost control, and timely delivery.
- Develop, review, and approve technical documentation, including specifications, detailed drawings and manufacturing and assembly instructions.
- Provide expert-level, hands-on technical guidance and resolve complex engineering challenges throughout the build process.
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of technical developers, ensuring clarity of direction and high performance while remaining actively involved in day-to-day work.
- Partner closely with Design and Production to translate creative vision into robust, buildable, and scalable technical solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement of development standards, processes, and technical best practices.
What you should bring along:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in product development or a similar technical role
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Wood Technology
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. Fusion, Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar)
- Experience in preparing technical documentation
- Knowledge of structural strength calculations
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good communication skills
Additional Experience (considered as a plus)
- Experience working with wood-based panel materials
- CAM experience, including CNC milling machines
- Calculation and design of welded structures
- Additive manufacturing (3D printing)
- Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis
