Assistant Manager role overview

Museum Assistant Manager serves as right hand to museum General Manager in organizing, planning and implementing operations policies, procedures, and protocols. Assistant Manager will also manage daily museum operations.

To be a great fit for this role you should have a consistent work history and previous experience as a senior staff member or as an assistant manager.  A passion for customer service and team mentoring is also a plus.

What you would get to do

• Working closing with General Manager to lead staff
• Develop and implement back of house policies for management and processing of retail inventory and SmartShop management.
• Planning and posting Employee schedule monthly
• Interviewing, hiring, training and developing new staff.
• Ensure museum policies and procedures are followed
• Plan, coordinate and direct museum special programming
• Managing and coaching Shift Supervisors
• Handle customer calls or complaints that require escalation

What you should bring along 

• Stable work history
• Ability to take direction and strong listening skills
• Must be self-motivated and possess the desire for self-development.
• Have the ability to work autonomously when required.
• Be a team player  with team mentoring experience
• A background in customer service, operations and/or sales
• Experience as an assistant store manager or with retail store management.
