Position Overview: 

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Zagreb. This is a hands-on role, supporting the month-end process and assisting with the operational accounting of our European subsidiaries. You will report to the Head of Accounting and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with accounting guidelines.

What you would get to do:

• Process and book incoming invoices, bank statements, revenue reports, accruals, and payroll
• Prepare and post journal entries in line with accounting guidelines.
• Reconcile bank statements and vendor/customer balances.
• Assist in maintaining general ledger accounts and fixed assets records.
• Support the monthly and yearly closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Assist in audit processes and ad hoc accounting projects.

What you should bring along:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and legal regulations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems or similar accounting software; strong Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team.
• Hands-on attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Fluency in English
